AIN

AIN (Asociación de la Industria Navarra) is a private, non-profit organisation founded in 1963, working to enhance the competitiveness of industry in Navarre and its surrounding regions. It brings together a technology centre, advanced business services and training within a single organisation, and currently has 178 member companies.

Its mission is to foster collaboration between companies and strengthen their competitive position by providing the industrial sector with a highly qualified technical team and maintaining close relationships with businesses. This proximity enables AIN to focus its R&D&I activities on real industrial challenges and needs. AIN is a member of EDIH IRIS, the Digital Innovation Hub of Navarre, and the European Enterprise Europe Network.

Within AIN, the Digital Technologies area focuses on four main fields: predictive maintenance, artificial intelligence, advanced robotics, and technology consulting to support companies in their digital transformation processes. These capabilities are complemented by the technology centre’s expertise in surface engineering and advanced materials.

AIN also participates in two CDTI Cervera Networks, including ROCCA (Operational Robotics for Quality Control, Inspection and Assisted Maintenance for Defence), where AIN works in areas such as collaborative and humanoid robotics, flexible robotic manipulation, advanced sensing and artificial intelligence. These technologies will be integrated into a robotic cell for drone inspection, diagnostics and maintenance, designed as an experimentation and validation environment for new advanced robotics and Physical AI solutions.

These capabilities enable AIN to approach the development of Physical AI from a multidisciplinary perspective, combining perception and sensing, artificial intelligence, learning and control, robotic manipulation, and advanced surface and materials technologies.

Through ÁNIMA, AIN aims to connect these capabilities with manufacturers, integrators and end-user companies, promote new projects and use cases, and contribute to bringing Physical AI and humanoid robotics closer to industry in Navarre.
