Today, Tecnun is internationally recognized as the University of Navarra’s Technology Campus in San Sebastián. It is the fourth-oldest School of Engineering in Spain and, since opening its doors in 1961, has maintained a balance between teaching, research, and service to society.

In this regard, its close relationship with the industrial and business worlds—combined with its continuous adaptation to sector demands—has enabled it to focus research on generating knowledge with real-world impact and finding solutions to current challenges. At the same time, its educational model aims to train professionals equipped with the judgment, knowledge, and skills needed to tackle the challenges of their professional careers.

Aligned with this approach, the commitment to artificial intelligence engineering—specifically the development of a new bachelor and master degree programs in this field—has entailed a significant investment in faculty, research staff, laboratories, classrooms, seminars, software, and technological equipment. The goal is to train highly qualified professionals with a solid theoretical and practical foundation, capable of solving complex problems and working in multidisciplinary teams and environments.
