ÁNIMA, the Spanish Association for Humanoid Robotics and Physical AI, has managed to attract more than 100 member organisations in just six weeks since its launch. This growth reflects the Spanish industrial sector’s interest in participating in the development of these technologies and exploring their applications.

Driven by AFM CLUSTER and AER Automation, the association brings together manufacturers of humanoid robots, component suppliers, software and artificial intelligence developers, system integrators, users, distributors, technology centres and educational institutions. This diversity enables the pooling of expertise across the entire value chain and facilitates collaboration between those who develop the technologies and those who can incorporate them into their processes.

ÁNIMA was founded with the aim of boosting the Spanish ecosystem for humanoid robotics and physical AI, fostering the exchange of knowledge and accelerating the development and adoption of solutions with real-world applications. The association is also committed to providing a rigorous and realistic view of the evolution of these technologies, highlighting their potential, raising awareness of their progress and helping to build confidence in the sector.

As its next milestone, ÁNIMA is preparing for its first official presentation at the weAR automation and robotics trade fair, which will take place at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC) from 23 to 25 February 2027, as part of +INDUSTRY. The event will provide an opportunity to raise awareness of the association and showcase its members’ capabilities to the wider industry.
